Join Us in Cozumel

At First Coast Divers, our dive trips aren’t just about checking off destinations or logging dives—they’re about people. They’re about diving side by side, laughing together, and sharing experiences that turn into stories we’ll still be talking about years from now. That’s exactly why we’re inviting you to be part of with our Spring Break 2027 Cozumel Dive Trip, happening March 13–20, 2027.

We’ve timed this trip to line up perfectly with Duval and St. Johns County Spring Break, which makes it a fantastic opportunity for families with young divers, newly certified, and longtime divers alike. Whether this is your first dive trip out of the country or you’ve traveled with us many times before, we want you to know this from the start: if you’re coming with First Coast Divers, you’re not traveling alone—you’re traveling with friends.

Why Cozumel?

Simply put, Cozumel has some of the best diving in the Caribbean, and it’s a place we love bringing people—especially when we’re looking for a destination that works well for divers with varying ranges of experience. The reefs are beautiful, the water is warm and clear, and the drift diving makes everything feel smooth and relaxed.

If you’ve never done drift diving before, Cozumel is a great place to introduce yourself to it. You let the current carry you along the reef while you enjoy the scenery. Sea turtles, eagle rays, nurse sharks, massive sponges, colorful fish---you never quite know what’s going to show up, and that’s part of the magic!

For newly certified and young divers, it’s an amazing confidence builder. For experienced divers, it’s just plain fun—big reefs, great visibility (often over 100 feet), and plenty to see on every dive. Over the course of the week, we’ll be doing up to 14 boat dives, so there’s no shortage of time underwater.

A Trip Designed for a Wide Range of Divers

Not every First Coast Divers trip is for every diver—and that is intentional. Some of our trips are designed specifically for more experienced divers and come with higher skill requirements.

This trip is different.
Cozumel’s conditions make it a great fit for a wide range of experience levels, from newly certified teenage divers to highly experienced divers who simply want beautiful, relaxing diving.

If you’re newer to diving, we’ve got you covered by supporting you every step of the way. Our staff is hands-on, approachable, and always happy to help—whether that means answering questions, offering tips, or just making sure you’re feeling comfortable and confident before the next dive.

If you’re an experienced diver, Cozumel absolutely delivers. The dive sites are outstanding, the profiles are enjoyable, and free nitrox for Enriched Air/Nitrox certified divers means longer, more relaxed dives. It’s the kind of trip where experienced divers still come home smiling—and often talking about how nice it was to just enjoy the diving.

All of our diving will be done with Dressel Divers, a

well-respected dive operation known forbeing professional, organized, and safety-focused. They run a solid operation, and that matters—especially when you’ve got a group with a mix of newer and more experienced divers.

Iberostar Resort

Not a Diver? You’re Still Invited

This trip isn’t just for divers. One of the reasons we chose Iberostar is because it’s a great place for non-divers too.

Beaches, pools, snorkeling, fitness facilities, spa services, entertainment, or simply relaxing with a good book—it’s a true vacation whether you dive or not. Everyone gets their own version of a great week, and we all come back together to share meals, laughs, and stories.

Traveling the First Coast Divers Way

What really makes this trip special is the way we do things at First Coast Divers. We take a hands-on approach because we care—about your safety, your experience, and your enjoyment. We don’t just hand you an itinerary and send you on your way.

Lisa McGinley, one of FCD’s PADI Instructors’, will be personally leading this trip, and she’ll be there from start to finish. Before we ever leave, we’ll make sure everyone is properly prepared. Once we’re in Cozumel, Lisa is there to keep things running smoothly and handle the details so you don’t have to.

For parents of young divers, that peace of mind matters. For everyone else, it simply makes for a more relaxed, enjoyable trip.

Important Note About Airfare
As of this writing, we do not have finalized airfare pricing for this March 2027trip. Airlines typically release flight schedules and fares no more than 11 months in advance. Based on trends over the past four years, round-trip airfare to and from Cozumel has generally ranged between $700 and $825. For planning purposes, the rates listed above are based on an estimated airfare of $750 per person.

Coz 19.jpg

If you prefer to book your own airfare (for example, if you plan to use flight credits or reward points), you're absolutely welcome to do so. In that case, simply deduct $750 per person from the listed trip price.

Please note: Trip bookings made fewer than 100 days before departure will not include group airfare. This is due to airline requirements for passenger counts well in advance. If you book after this deadline, you'll need to arrange your own flights, and you can again subtract $750 per person from the package price.

Single Divers

We welcome single divers who wish to join us on this trip! We’ve consistently been able to pair single travelers with compatible same-sex roommates. This way you both will benefit from the “double occupancy” price in a Standard Premium room with two double beds. However, if you would like your own room, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that we will have to charge you the “single supplement” upcharge.

Terms:

  • $900 Non-Refundable/ Per Person Deposit at booking

  • $900 Payment due by Sept 1, 2026

  • Balance due by Dec 1, 2026

Additional Information

  • The deposit is non-refundable and will not be refunded for any reason. We are making a commitment to our travelers, so we expect our travelers to fulfill their commitment to us.

  • No additional funds will be returned if canceled within 10 months of the trip.

  • In the event someone needs to cancel, they can certainly transfer their secured booking to a replacement traveler and receive a full refund minus a 10% service fee.

  • All trip participants (divers only) are required to have their own personal Diver Supplemental Insurance. Again, we suggest either D.A.N. or DiveAssure.

  • As with all our trips, we highly recommend that our travelers purchase trip insurance. We recommend either D.A.N. or DiveAssure.
