Join First Coast Divers and I.CARE (Islamorada Conservation and Restoration Education) for a meaningful dive adventure in the Florida Keys from June 3–7, 2026, led by Lisa McGinley. This special trip blends exploration, education, and conservation, giving divers the chance to learn about coral reefs, their diversity, and the vital role they play in ocean health. It’s an opportunity to dive with purpose while learning from dedicated I.CARE reef restoration professionals.
Divers won’t just witness conservation efforts—they’ll be part of them. Through hands-on out-planting and coral collection dives, participants will help rebuild Florida’s own coral reefs. At the end of the program, participants will earn the PADI AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty certification. This unique experience allows divers to make a lasting impact while also refining their own essential dive skills, such as peak performance buoyancy.
Education continues both above and below the surface beginning with an engaging coral workshop covering reef history, coral morphology, and restoration techniques. Guided by the I.CARE team, divers will complete six daytime dives and one night dive over the three-day trip.
After each day on the water, relax at Ocean Pointe Suites in Key Largo, offering one and two-bedroom oceanfront condos with full kitchens and beautiful ocean views. The trip also includes an optional group visit to the REEF Ocean Exploration Center, where divers will meet with REEF staff, learn how divers can contribute to marine conservation through fish surveys, and discover new ways to protect ocean life long after the trip ends.
Spots are limited to only 18 total divers for this trip. Contact us today to secure your spot!!
Want to improve your personal buoyancy control—or simply fine-tune and refresh your skills? The first two dives of this trip offer the perfect opportunity to work directly with Lisa by completing the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course. This optional add-on is available for just $199 and is a great way to sharpen one of the most important skills in diving while earning credit toward your PADI Master Scuba Diver certification. Don’t miss this chance to dive with greater confidence and control—ask us about adding this course when you sign up for the trip!
