A Return to Paradise

A Return to Paradise:

First Coast Divers is thrilled to announce a return dive trip to the breathtaking Galapagos Islands! After an unforgettable experience in 2024, we’re heading back for another week of world-class diving aboard the incredible Galapagos Master liveaboard. The dates for this highly anticipated trip are February 21–28, 2028. Our last adventure left such a lasting impression that we knew one visit simply wasn’t enough. The underwater world of the Galapagos is unlike any other, and we can’t wait to dive in again with our passionate dive community.

The Galapagos Master is a diver’s dream. Comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with divers in mind, this liveaboard offers an ideal setting for a week of underwater exploration. The boat has everything we need—from roomy gear stations and dive deck to cozy lounging areas where divers can relax after each dive. What truly sets the experience apart, however, is the outstanding crew. Friendly, professional, and highly knowledgeable, they make every diver feel at home while ensuring safety and fun on every dive.

But it’s the diving itself that steals the show. The Galapagos delivers exhilarating underwater encounters with every plunge. Imagine descending into a swirling cloud of fish, drifting past sleek whitetip sharks, or locking eyes with a curious sea lion. At every dive site, nature puts on a show that reminds us why the Galapagos are considered one of the most iconic diving destinations on the planet. For many divers, these waters are a bucket-list dream—and for those who’ve already been, it’s a dream worth repeating.

So, what makes diving in the Galapagos so special? It’s the unique convergence of marine currents and biodiversity. Situated at the crossroads of major ocean currents, the Galapagos are home to an extraordinary mix of tropical and temperate species. Divers can encounter everything from giant manta rays and marine iguanas to mola molas and hammerhead sharks—all in a single trip. The marine life here is not only abundant but also incredibly diverse, creating a dynamic and thrilling dive environment.

The diving around Darwin Island and Wolf Island, in particular, is legendary. These remote outposts are accessible only by liveaboard and are renowned for their wild, unspoiled beauty and powerful marine life. Here, divers regularly encounter massive schools of hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and even the occasional whale shark. The strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters that support a rich food web, drawing in predators and creating scenes straight out of a nature documentary. These sites are truly the crown jewels of Galapagos diving.

If the 2024 trip was any indication, our 2028 return promises to be even more unforgettable. Whether you're a seasoned diver or someone who missed out the first time, this is your chance to experience diving at its absolute best. Join First Coast Divers for an adventure that blends comfort, community, and some of the most extraordinary underwater encounters in the world. The Galapagos are calling—don’t miss this chance to answer.

My wife Suzy and I are inviting 14 experienced divers to join us on this once-in-a-lifetime journey. This adventure isn’t for beginners—you’ll need to be Advanced Open Water certified with at least 50 logged dives. You don’t have to be an athlete, but you do need to be confident, self-reliant, and solid in the water. These dives are exhilarating, challenging, and absolutely unforgettable. If you’re not quite there yet, this is your goal—and there’s time to prepare for it before we depart February 2028.

We’ve got room for just 14 lucky divers—and yes, this is a premium trip—but it will sell out faster than you think. So, if your heart is already racing thinking about hammerheads, mantas, and marine iguanas… don’t wait.

Lock in your spot today—because adventures like this don’t come around often!!
