This will be our third straight Christmas/Holiday Season trip to Roatan so I guess you could say we are starting a tradition. And why not!! This is an awesome trip to a wonderful dive destination. And who doesn’t want to play on a beach & in the water during the holiday season! Most of us are Floridians so this is what we crave. And if you are from someplace up north…God bless you…come to Roatan with us and escape the cold.

My friends…another reason I like doing these trips to Roatan in December is the awesome deal. I’ve looked around for other Caribbean destinations, during that month, and nowhere comes close to the value this trip gives us. My goodness….it is literally all-inclusive (including airfare) for only $2899 per person! Airfare, transfers, accommodations, all meals & snacks, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages (national brands) and up to 16 dives!!! Combine that with the wonderful dive sites around Roatan and it’s no wonder why this trip easily sells out every year.

But for the past three trips to Roatan, we have stayed at the Mayan Princess. I love it there, but I thought we would switch it up in 2025 and stay someplace different (but don’t worry…we are going back to the Mayan Princess in Dec 2026). For this trip…we are staying and diving with Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort. This resort is very different from the Mayan Princess. Guest capacity is a lot smaller (only 26 rooms total) but it sits on 43 acres of private land in a very intimate & quiet part of Roatan. Nothing like the West End.

The resort has wonderful amenities to include a private beach, pool and on-site dive operation. The rooms are very nice and spread around the resort so none of us will feel crowded. The dive operation is very diver friendly. They have several dive boats so none of us will feel crowded. Actually, they will only put 10 divers on each boat with 2 Divemasters so our dive groupings will be smaller than usual and more intimate. The dive operation also has private gear lockers so there is no reason at all to carry your personal gear back & forth from your room. The dive guides will take care of your gear all week long for you.

The resort is on a big piece of land so there are beautiful trails to walk and explore. They also have a stable of horses for guests who would like to go horseback riding!And over-water cabana’s for us to enjoy after our dive day. I have personally toured the resort and met with the resort & dive operation manager. And I am confident that we will treated to a wonderful stay there. And during my visit there, I even asked some of their guests about the food and I was given wonderful reviews about the quality and variety.

My friends, like I stated, the resort only has a total of 26 rooms and I have reserved 13 of them for our group. That may sound like a lot, but I guarantee you this trip will sell out sooner rather than later. Most of the rooms I have reserved have a king-sized bed, but I have reserved a few rooms with 2 full-sized beds. These are for my single divers. And if you are single and want to go on this trip, then let me know. We never seem to have any problems getting our singles buddied up with a compatible same-sex roommate. This way you both will benefit from the “double occupancy” price. But…if you would like your own room, we will do our best to accommodate you. Just please keep in mind that we will have to charge you a “single supplement” upcharge.
