First Coast Divers is proud to offer North Florida’s only ladies-specific PADI Open Water Diver classes

Calling our lady divers! Are you searching for an opportunity that can transform your life and provide you with lifelong memories? Are you a solo traveler seeking more adventure? Do you already know a certified scuba diver? Or are you looking to make new friends & acquaintances? Have you always wondered what scuba diving is all about?

 

Ladies, First Coast Divers is offering you an opportunity to become a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Diver in the comfort of a class scheduled only for ladies. Bring yourself, your best friend(s), your mom, your daughter, your sister, YOUR GRANDMOTHER, etc.

 

Together…you will develop your skills and experience what diving is all about at a comfortable pace in a ladies-only smaller class format. This course is limited to only 6 participants (per scheduled class) and will take place over 3 days, split between two consecutive weekends.

This course is taught by our staff female instructor, Lisa, who has been a PADI-certified diver since the age of 16. Lisa will tell you that scuba diving has transformed her life and continues to provide unforgettable memories, new friends, and a healthy & relaxing way to step away from life’s challenges and demands.

CLASS OVERVIEW

Here's a quick rundown of our ladies-only PADI Open Water Diver schedule of events:

​*Please remember that the home study PADI eLearning homework must be completed prior to the start of the class
 

*All of our ladies-only classes are scheduled for consecutive weekends

​
 

1st Week:


Saturday 9am – 5pm: Classroom & gear fitting session here at First Coast Divers from 9am – 12:30pm. Pool training session in our in-door pool from 2pm – 5pm
 

2nd Week:


•    Saturday All Day 9am -5pm: Dive Day 1 at Devil's Den Springs. Open Water Dives 1 & 2, Confined Water Dives 4 & 5.
•    Sunday Half Day 8:00am-1:30pm: Dive Day 2 at Rainbow River Springs. Open Water Dives 3 & 4.

Ladies-only classes include:

  • Instruction by one of our insured PADI-certified female instructors

  • PADI eLearning program access for students to complete their pre-class homework.

  • Personal diver’s logbook

  • Use of like-new Aqua Lung regulator, dive computer, BCD & wetsuit

  • All air tanks needed during class

  • Entrance fees to Devil's Den & Rainbow River  

  • PADI Certification card upon completion of class

What you need to bring:

  • SCUBA mask, fins, snorkel, lead weight, surface marker buoy (SMB) & gear bag 

  • Swimsuit to wear underneath your wetsuit 

  • All minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian

  • Students will be responsible for their own transportation

    • Gear up with your own personal basic scuba gear prior to the start of your class.

    • We have a wonderful selection of high-quality products for you to choose from. Our knowledgeable staff will help you choose the gear that’s right for you. Student divers automatically receive 10% off their initial purchase of any personal basic gear needed.

  • All-Inclusive Gear Option

    • Great for students who don’t own and/or don't want to buy any of their personal basic gear. We will furnish the use of a mask, snorkel, fins, booties, lead weight & gear bag for the student to use during class. $75 upgrade.

  • PADI Nitrox Speciality Class w/ PADI eLearning

    • Want more bottom time with your diving? Then enroll in the Nitrox class in conjunction with your PADI Open Water Diver class and save $25 off the regular price of the Nitrox class tuition.
